Role: Java Developer Location: Must be onsite in San Antonio, TX Every Wednesday (4 Days Remote) Duration: Contract to Hire 6 months Interview Process: Video screening and then Final round. Kafka Job Description: Tasks Learnexisting processes, procedures, and workflows to include (however not limited to) the software development lifecycle and/or release processes Acquires and applies foundational knowledge of the business, its products, and/or processes. Gains an understanding of the software development lifecycle: requirements gathering, analysis and design, coding, and unit/integration testing in the development of new applications or modifications to existing applications. Acquires and applies foundational knowledge of one or more highly specialized areas of application development and/or business analysis that is of significant impact to the organization. May perform defect correction on less critical development defects, and/or begins to analyze requirements, develop coding skills to code simple applications. Learns to install, customize and integrate commercial software packages. Works with more tenured peers to gain understanding of systems while conducting root cause analysis of issues, reviewing new and existing code and/or performing unit testing. Develops an understanding of customer requirements and how to respond to outages by following the appropriate processes. Learns to create system documentation/play book and attends requirements, design and code reviews. Receives work packages from manager/delegates. Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree required. 4 additional years of related experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree. Minimum Experience: 4 or more years of software development experience demonstrating depth of technical and functional understanding within specific I/T discipline(s)/technology(s) *Qualifications may warrant placement in a different job level* Preferred Experience: Service-oriented architecture/web services (SOAP/REST) Object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts and patterns Experience with complex technical troubleshooting of applications and systems Software Design and Architecture Markup languages like XML and JSON Source control using Git/Gitlab Thanks & Regards Syam B, 630-923-6952 |
