Role: Java Lead Developer Location : Columbus, Ohio (Day 1 Onsite) **Job Description:** 1. Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of Java developers, overseeing all aspects of software development lifecycle from requirements analysis to deployment. 2. Architecture and Design: Lead the design and architecture of scalable, high-performance Java applications and microservices, ensuring adherence to best practices, design patterns, and architectural principles. 3. Backend Development: Hands-on development of backend components and services using Java technologies such as Spring Boot, Hibernate, or similar frameworks. 4. Code Review and Quality Assurance: Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, performance, and adherence to coding standards. Implement best practices for unit testing, integration testing, and code coverage. 5. API Design and Integration: Design and implement RESTful APIs for backend services, and integrate with frontend applications, third-party APIs, and external systems. 6. Database Design and Optimization: Design and optimize database schemas, queries, and stored procedures for efficient data storage, retrieval, and manipulation. Experience with relational databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle is required. 7. DevOps and CI/CD: Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar tools to automate build, test, and deployment processes. 8. Performance Optimization: Identify and address performance bottlenecks in Java applications through code optimization, caching strategies, database tuning, and other performance tuning techniques. 9. Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Document technical designs, implementation details, and deployment procedures. Share knowledge and best practices with team members through mentoring, training, and technical presentations. 10. Scalability and Resilience: Design scalable and resilient architectures to handle large volumes of traffic, ensuring high availability, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery.
