| From: Naveen Pandey, Smartit Frame [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Senior QA Analyst for Transcend Platform NYC office 3 days a week Contract role Position: Jefferies is seeking for Senior QA Analyst for Collateral Management related applications. Candidate should have hands on experience in both QA functional and automated testing. Primary Responsibilities: Collaborate with onsite (North Americas), satellite (London) and offshore (India) QA team members supporting collateral management business functions. Ensure all regression and new functionality is tested each release cycle Identify and fill gaps in existing QA regression test suite and process. Keep track of each release cycle and project delivery and be able to prepare regular status updates to business and IT stake holders Gather details about testing priorities and focus Preparation of test plan / strategy document for various types of testing Participate in providing solutions for application automation Create test cases, document and build automation scripts. Execute, document test cases, results, and log defects for failed cases Retest the defect fixes and track them to closure Desired Experience/ Skills: Experience (10+ years) in the field of IT and Testing in the BFSI (Banking and Financial Industry) domain. Strong Domain skills- o Must have working experience in Capital Markets and especially with Prime Brokerage functions. o Strong understanding of Firm and Client Position inventory, Stock Loans and Borrows, SWAPs and the associated fees, haircuts and costs of capital. o Ability to understand business requirements and rapidly design, develop and execute effective manual and automated testing approaches. Experience and in-depth understanding of the Software Testing principles. Experience with Applications in Front/Middle Office operations. Experience in testing BFSI Domain applications with a proper understanding of the Back Office Lifecycle. Knowledge of SQL, Python and UNIX. Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. Understanding the user requirements and application capabilities by reading BRD, FSD and application user manuals. Work closely with Business (Test case reviews) and IT teams (deployments/fixes) Good knowledge of Windows and Excel Defect Management Articulation of defects in detailed manner, assigning defects to technical teams, capturing target fix dates and resolution comments from IT Co-ordinate with Project/ Program managers with clear communications. Ability to drive the project QA priorities on your own. Plan and execute activities based on project milestones and independently manage communications. Adept at providing Testing, Technical and Domain expertise by guidance to team. Good communication, presentation skills and problem-solving skills. Personal Attributes Good communication skills, including the ability to write clearly. Able to function effectively as a member of a team. Proactive with respect to personal and technical development. Strong skills and perspective in this space with exemplary follow through.
