Role: SQL Server DBA with Azure Location: Boston, MA/ Burlington, MA Duration: Long Term Contract Responsibilities: Responsible for maintaining existing databases with high-availability solutions, replication, backup, restore, encryption, and disaster recovery solutions. Configure & Monitor Performance/Storage/Memory alerts on all Production Azure Servers toensure high availability of data Additionally: Strong database migration experience. Expertise and experience monitoring Azure workspaces, VMs, VM drives, Memory etc. Expertise and experience creating MS Visio diagrams as they relate to MS SQL and databasedesign. Ensuring all hardware and software are updated. Assist to define data retention policies and automation. Estimating storage cost and defining data storage strategies. Work with Quality Assurance Team on issue reporting, resolution, and change control. Support and Troubleshooting. Assist Operations Team with any environment issues during application deployment across Development, QA, Staging, and Production environments. Assist other teams and customers with troubleshooting problems that may arise from applications or integration of various components What we value. A high degree of technical aptitude and troubleshooting skills A strong sense of customer service, attention to detail, and issue ownership. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple significant projects and initiatives. Strong process development and automation skills. Practical knowledge needed to author modular and maintainable scripts and utilities. Large-scale identity and access management experience in a highly regulated environment Practical understanding of core identity technologies (AD, Azure AD, Privileged Access Management) and their associated governance, lifecycle management, automation, and delivery Ability to lead and work well with multiple priorities, and effectively handle concurrent demands to prioritize responsibilities Ability to formulate clear strategy, present and gain support. Ability to effectively integrate, contribute and overlap with other functions including cloud/enterprise architecture, compliance, risk, engineering, developers Ability to formulate objectives with clear business value and demonstrate progress along the way Ability to communicate complex and innovative concepts with proven experience driving decision making across different stakeholder groups Ability to be self-directed and to proactively anticipate problems and seek opportunities.
