[LinkedIN Id is mandatory] Hiring Mode: Contract (TP) Location: Sunnyvale, CA [On-site] Mandatory skills: HPC, AWS and Scripting (python preferably, otherwise shell) Note: We need a hands on person who has worked as system administrator for HPC cluster over AWS/ or some other cloud but have worked on AWS too. Good to have: CAE tools exp. Job description: Some of the key activities include: 1. Maintaining HPC environments on AWS 2. Maintaining Linux/Windows Remote desktop sessions 3. User onboard, file permission, user group 4. Maintaining HPC job scheduler (PBS) 5. Maintain and manage multiple software tools (Install, configure, update/upgrade, patch and fix security vulnerabilities) such as but not limited Atlassian tools 6. Manage software licensing service, customer and vendor communication for licensing needs. 7. Issue (defect, risk, vulnerability, user requests) triaging and timely resolution of tickets (which include individual user requests to security and compliance issues raise for entities such as operating systems, AWS infrastructure and software updates) Basic qualification 1. 2+ years of experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, PowerShell, C++, 2. 3+ years of experience in automation (building, testing, releasing or monitoring) and building tools for the same. 3. 5+ years of Linux administration experience along-with networking, storage systems and hands-on systems engineering experience 4. 4+ years of experience with AWS cloud on services such as but not limited to EC2, EFS, EBS, S3, Route53, VPC, VPC Peering and CloudFormation 5. 1+ years of experience in HPC systems and job schedulers (such as Altair PBS, Slurm, IBM LSF), 6. 1+ years managing Network License Servers (FlexLM compliant network licenses) 7. 2+ years of experience managing back-end databases (both SQL and NoSQL) on AWS Preferred qualification 1. Understanding of one of more of distributed CAE (Computer Aided Engineering) and FEA (Finite Element Analysis) simulation tools such as but not limited Ansys (Ansys, LS-Dyna, Fluent, HFSS), MATLAB, Siemens (StarCCM, Flotherm), Cadence, Comsol, Abaqus, Keysight, Remcom, CST, Synopsys (Lighttools, HSpice) on HPC 2. Understanding of one or more of HPC job schedulers such as PBS, Slurm, LSF 3. Experience with Java/Python/C/C++ based system/application deployment, maintenance and management. 4. Experience with basic database querying (both SQL and NoSQL) 5. Developing systems/applications on AWS cloud.
