Job Summary and Mission As part of the Cloud Services team, you core role will be leading the development and operations of our core cloud infrastructure. This includes all aspects of cloud services within our hybrid environment (private, Azure, AWS). The role will serve as the main operations as well as the subject matter expert for both public and private IAAS/PAAS services. Your mission is to partner with cloud providers, architects, and other infrastructure engineers in developing best practices and reference architectures to ensure resiliency, agility at defined SLA levels. Org Unit: Direct Sourcing Team culture/work enviroment: Collaborative Key projects: Working on the community services in the cloud Job Responsibilities Developing shared services in python, Azure runbooks, terraform templates for application teams. Express Route monitoring and efficient management R&D of current and emerging cloud technologies Evaluation and POCs for core infrastructure and application teams needs Design and Evangelism of patterns and reference architectures Vendor management and engagement within the cloud services domain Provides system analysis and recommended solutions for environment performance needs. Plan, implement and support core infrastructure with an overall objective to improve the scalability, reliability, performance, and availability of the cloud infrastructure. Administrates the cloud enrollment and subscription process. Monitors and escalates engineering issues to architecture team when required. Ensures system performance, uptime and support levels meet or exceed SLAs. Assists project teams with capacity planning, cloud service offerings, and deployments. Work closely with architects and engineers to design networks, systems, and storage environment that effectively reflect our client's business needs, security, and SLA requirements. Summary of Experience 6+ years of experience in system administration, network administration, and systems engineering Deep experience with Cloud Computing platforms (e.g., Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS, Google App Engine) Working experience in Microsoft Azure - all services, specifically Containers, AKS, Azure Landing Zone. 6+ years of experience in one or more of the following: Python, Go, Terraform, PowerShell, REST API; GIT actions. 5+ years of experience in developing centralized CI/ CD pipelines and platform engineering solutions. 6+ years experience with large-scale distributed systems and client-server architectures, cloud native architectures, containers like Kubernetes and serverless Demonstrated ability to debug and optimize code and automate routine tasks. Interest in designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems. Proven ability to translate insights into business recommendations. Deep knowledge in application development and supporting a development environment. Deep knowledge and understanding of relevant legal and regulatory requirements, such as SOX, PCI, HIPAA, Data Protection, etc. Demonstrated experience implementing and managing high capacity, redundant, and mission critical environments. Knowledge in databases and comfortable with various databases technologies Proficiency in TCP/IP networking, architecture, and core technologies (DNS, routing, iptables, tc, etc.) Experience running and maintaining a 24x7 production environment. Basic Qualifications Basic qualifications for this role are: Bachelor's Degree in information systems or a related field. Deep expertise in Public Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, and GCP) and internal hosting infrastructure (compute, storage, networking, etc.) Experience in Networking, Kubernetes, Python, Terraform, PowerShell, REST API, GIT actions. Experience in developing centralized CI/ CD pipelines and platform engineering solutions. Candidate must have strong technical fluency; comfort understanding and discussing architectural concepts with management, architects, developers, and systems & applications engineering teams. Experience with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies such as Scrum. Curiosity to understand how things work and how they can be improved.
