We have job opening for the below role. Role: SQL DBA Location: Boston, MA (only Locals) Duration: Contract Visa: Only H1b who can share passport number (No GC, No H4, No OPT) Role Description: What you will be responsible for Responsible for maintaining existing databases with high-availability solutions, replication, backup, restore, encryption, and disaster recovery solutions. Configure & Monitor Performance/Storage/Memory alerts on all Production Azure Servers to ensure high availability of data. Additionally Strong database migration experience. Expertise and experience monitoring Azure workspaces, VMs, VM drives, Memory etc. Expertise and experience creating MS Visio diagrams as they relate to MS SQL and database design. Ensuring all hardware and software are updated. Assist to define data retention policies and automation. Estimating storage cost and defining data storage strategies. Work with Quality Assurance Team on issue reporting, resolution, and change control. Support and Troubleshooting Assist Operations Team with any environment issues during application deployment across Development, QA, Staging, and Production environments. Assist other teams and customers with troubleshooting problems that may arise from applications or integration of various components. Practical understanding of core identity technologies (AD, Azure AD, Privileged Access Management) and their associated governance, lifecycle management, automation, and delivery. Ability to lead and work well with multiple priorities, and effectively handle concurrent demands to prioritize responsibilities. Ability to formulate clear strategy, present and gain support. Ability to effectively integrate, contribute and overlap with other functions including cloud/enterprise architecture, compliance, risk, engineering, developers. Ability to formulate objectives with clear business value and demonstrate progress along the way. Ability to communicate complex and innovative concepts with proven experience driving decision making across different stakeholder groups. Ability to be self-directed and to proactively anticipate problems and seek opportunities. A champion for continuous improvement Experience with infrastructure systems, security assessments, and security processes is a bonus. Education & Preferred Qualifications. Knowledge of PowerShell DSC is preferred. Knowledge of Power BI is preferred Experience on SQL Server 2019 Administration is preferred.
