Job Description Sr. Reinsurance Analyst

Support the setup of Multinational and Reinsurance agreements in Company systems.

Set up and monitor Treaty agreements.

Oversee and monitor Marine-related calculations and Treaty attachment points.

Coordinate Transactional Audits and Data calls from direct and broker Reinsurance market participants.

Oversee and monitor Multinational Reinsurance-related calculations and Treaty attachment points.

Identify, investigate, and provide solutions to resolve Treaty and Facultative Reinsurance attachment issues which may affect Company financial results.

Meet regularly with Accounting, Actuarial, Finance, IT and Underwriting departments to validate that expected Reinsurance cessions, controls and placements are in place.

Provide root cause analysis on Reinsurance data quality issues requiring reversing non-machine entries needed to amend Company financial results.

Review matters requiring non-machine entries and system-related structural changes and assign & delegate solutions to fix and update requirements.

Other projects and activities as assigned by management including recommending improvements to the Facultative recoverable reporting process.

Requirements

Bachelors degree preferably in business-related field of study.

7+ Years of experience in insurance & reinsurance industry including Multinational exposure.

Strong knowledge and experience of both Treaty and Facultative reinsurance structures.

Hands-on experience working with groups to analyze, define and develop business requirements and workflow processes, including IT-related enhancements.

Experience working with Underwriting, Reinsurance and Claims' platforms and software.

Experience with Reinsurance systems.

Attention to detail; can report issues encountered in processing that lead to resolution efforts.

High level of self-management; independent worker with analytical skills that can contribute to multiple projects.

Strong interpersonal skills; collaborate across teams, groups, and functions in a fast-paced setting.

Effective presentation skills; strong verbal communications skills and strong writing ability.

Beneficial to have knowledge and proficiency with RiPro (Sapiens).

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suites (i.e., Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

CPCU and / or ARe designations preferred but not required.
