Job Title: Senior DevOps Engineer with networking exp Contract: 12 Months Please Share Genuine Candidates and Strong Candidates* LinkedIn is mandatory , Need Very Strong Profiles* can work on 48 hours exclusively Project Description: As a DevOps Engineer, you are responsible for contributing to the stability of our high-availability SaaS platform. Apply your outstanding troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to address challenges swiftly and efficiently. Take ownership of building and refining our infrastructure, enabling rapid and reliable service deployments. Documenting standard processes and spearheading improvements to our systems and processes. Advance our commitment to 'Infrastructure as Code', driving innovation and efficiency in our deployment strategies. Develop and optimize our data ingestion pipeline, ensuring it operates seamlessly 'as a service'. Collaborate across teams to maintain service uptime, improve monitoring, and streamline incident response processes. Responsibilities: Ensure a standardization of IAM roles for access to Secrets and Kafka providers. Ensure a automation which automatically updates, validates, and deploys updates to all InfraEng managed services on a 30 day cadence to adhere to FIPS standards of updates taking no more than 30 days. Ensure Istio is deployed with a CA which adheres to cisco policy and FIPS compliance Ensure encryption exists between the AWS LoadBanacer and the Istio Gateway and assist with making it FIPS compliant Provide assistance with ensuring the secret management system that is FIPS compliant, adheres to Cisco Security Standard for Kubernetes and can be integrated at the service level as needed. Assist teams in adopting the secret management system specified above in both FIPS and non-FIPs environments. The secrets management system needs to be the same APIs in both envrironmentsKnowledge of secret management systems which allows you to provide them in a FIPS compliant environs. Ensure all Kubernetes operators or CRDs utilized the AppDynamics product are FIPs compliant or undertake the work to make them FIPS compliant Ensure that Kubernetes secrets are FIPS compliant and ideally utilize the secrets management service above. This must meet both FIPS and Cisco security requirements. Undertake all work needed to ensure MSK (Managed Kafka in AWS) is FIPS compliant, along with all clients, and operations that may be used by the service or services accessing the service. Ensure all AppDynamics services which support the internal AMAK service are FIPS compliant ( registry service, etc) or undertake the work to make them compliant. Ensure all monitoring services (Grafana, Prometheus, VictoriaMetrics) and their agents are FIPS compliant or undertake the work to make them FIPS compliant. Ensure Terraform is FIPS compliant or undertake the work to make it FIPS compliant. Mandatory Skills Description: Experience working in or enabling infrastructure and foundation services to be compliant in a FIPs environment. Deep network knowledge and experience in maintaining networks and virtual networks in FIPS compliant environment. Knowledge of IPv6 networking and required changes at the code and/or service level. 5+ years of combined experience in Site Reliability, DevOps, and/or Software Development, in a growth-stage or enterprise-level SaaS environment. Proficiency in Unix/Linux system administration, with a focus on RedHat Linux (CentOS), Amazon Linux, or Azure Linux. Experience in cloud services operations, including AWS, Azure, or GCP. Coding/scripting skills with languages such as Terraform or Python, and a track record of implementing automation in production environments. Experience in virtualization and containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and tools facilitating deployment (Istio/Helm/Kube2Iam) Experience scaling and handling distributed data stores and services (e.g., Kafka, Elasticsearch), with a keen interest in Lambda architecture. Experience in developing, deploying, and managing systems with an emphasis on high-availability, low-latency, and scalability. Experience with big data platforms and engineering.
