Title: Azure Cloud Infrastructure Engineer Python, Kubernetes, Terraform, Networking Duration : 9+ months Location : Seattle, WA (Remote ) Job Description Azure Cloud Infrastructure Engineer Python, Kubernetes, Terraform, Networking Job Summary and Mission As part of the Cloud Services team, you core role will be leading the development and operations of our core cloud infrastructure. This includes all aspects of cloud services within our hybrid environment (private, Azure, AWS). The role will serve as the main operations as well as the subject matter expert for both public and private IAAS/PAAS services. Your mission is to partner with cloud providers, architects, and other infrastructure engineers in developing best practices and reference architectures to ensure resiliency, agility at defined SLA levels. Express Route monitoring and efficient management R&D of current and emerging cloud technologies Evaluation and POCs for core infrastructure and application teams needs Design and Evangelism of patterns and reference architectures Vendor management and engagement within the cloud services domain Provides system analysis and recommended solutions for environment performance needs Plan, implement and support core infrastructure with an overall objective to improve the scalability, reliability, performance, and availability of the cloud infrastructure. o Administrates the cloud enrollment and subscription process o Monitors and escalates engineering issues to architecture team when required o Ensures system performance, uptime and support levels meet or exceed SLAs o Assists project teams with capacity planning, cloud service offerings, and deployments Work closely with architects and engineers to design networks, systems, and storage environment that effectively reflect our client's business needs, security, and SLA requirements Interaction level with team : Labor Market Analysis- Research Candidate Requirements Years of experience required Degrees or certifications required Technology requirements: Must have 8+ years over overall IT infrastructure and delivery experience Must have 3+ years of experience building highly available, scalable cloud based platform and infrastructure for cloud native systems. Must have hands-on experience with AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platforms Must have experience in Networking, Kubernetes, Python, Terraform and PowerShell Must have experience with Build Tools, CI/CD, DevOps and Agile principals Working knowledge of : o Configuration management tools such as Chef, Puppet, Ansible etc. o Federated Security, Identity, SAML, Single Sign On, IAM etc. o Networking and Load Balancers, Firewalls, VPCs, VPNs, DNS OSI Layers etc. o Infrastructure and Application logging and monitoring technologies (New Relic, Splunk, etc.) Degree or certifications required: Bachelor's Degree in information systems or a related field Years experience: 4+ Required background Skills: Deep expertise in Public Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) and internal hosting infrastructure (compute, storage, networking, etc.) Experience in Networking, Kubernetes, Python, Terraform and PowerShell Candidate must have strong technical fluency; comfort understanding and discussing architectural concepts with management, architects, developers and systems & applications engineering teams. Experience with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies such as Scrum. Curiosity to understand how things work and how they can be improved. Leads by example with confidence, a positive attitude, patience, honesty and integrity Drives decision-making that favors compromise and alignment over consensus-building Excellent organization and facilitation skills; ability to adapt approach to different types of engagements Experience in definition, assessment, and optimization of IT processes (SDLC, ITIL, etc.) Ability to engage in difficult conversations that result in positive, actionable outcomes Seeks and provides honest, transparent feedback Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing with strong interpersonal skills and interact with all levels of the organization.
