Role: Data Center Virtualization Administrator Location: Atlanta, GA( Hybrid) Local consultant to GA Visa: USC, GC Duration: 12-24 Months LinkedIn, SSN, DOB We are seeking a skilled Data Center Virtualization Administrator with a deep technical background in Nutanix and system administration/design. The ideal candidate will be passionate about adopting new technologies, possess excellent communication skills, and be capable of working both independently and as part of a team. This role involves engaging in the entire systems development lifecycle, contributing to the design of new infrastructures, and enhancing existing systems that are vital to corporate operations. Key Responsibilities: Administer all aspects of data center virtualization, including server setup, maintenance, and VMWare/Nutanix system administration. Maintain and enhance system resiliency, security, and scalability. Manage hardware procurement in partnership with vendors and collaborate with internal teams for hardware installation. Coordinate with security teams to address vulnerabilities, ensuring continuous business operations. Document processes, maintain system diagrams, and contribute to the knowledge base. Offer advanced troubleshooting support and participate in disaster recovery efforts. Promote system and process compliance in accordance with Sox and engage with audit groups for compliance activities. Develop, test, and implement infrastructure solutions tailored to meet business needs. Provide 24x7 on-call support on a rotating basis, collaborating closely with enterprise architecture and security teams to maintain IT standards. Required Skills: Experience with converged and Nutanix/VMWare hyperconverged infrastructures. Proficiency in Nutanix (Prism Element, Prism Central) and VMWare (vSphere, vCenter, vROPS, Aria Automation). Experience with various hypervisors and hardware platforms. Ability to manage virtual machine templates and monitor compute platform health. Knowledge of software-defined networking, virtual machine backups, and infrastructure optimization. Experience in infrastructure operations, maintenance, and vendor coordination. Familiarity with network, storage, security, and server performance optimization concepts. Proficient in using monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Splunk, Datadog). Strong documentation, teamwork, and communication skills; quick learner. Preferred: Nutanix or VMWare certifications. Experience with P2V migrations, VMWare VCF, and vSAN. Familiarity with 3rd party integrations and virtual desktop technologies. Proficient in Windows OS administration. Over 10 years of experience working with vendors, deploying enterprise-scale applications, and managing system requirements.
