Only GC & USC Cyber Security Engineer Oakland CA must have Ethical Hacking Client is seeking a talented Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team in Oakland, California. As a vital part of our organization, you will play a crucial role in protecting our systems, networks, and data from cyber threats. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, implement, and maintain robust cybersecurity measures. Responsibilities: 1. Perform regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential security risks. 2. Monitor and analyze security incidents, conduct investigations, and provide timely response and resolution. 3. Participate in incident response exercises and contribute to the continuous improvement of incident response procedures. 4. Configure and maintain security tools, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and antivirus software. 5. Provide technical expertise and guidance to internal stakeholders on cybersecurity-related matters. 6. Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies to proactively address emerging risks. 7. Conduct security awareness training and workshops for staff to promote a culture of cybersecurity awareness and compliance. 8. Develop and implement cybersecurity policies, procedures, and best practices to safeguard infrastructure and sensitive information. 9. Collaborate with IT teams to ensure that security measures are integrated into the design, development, and maintenance of systems and applications. 10. Assist in compliance efforts with relevant regulations and standards, such as PCI DSS, HIPAA, and NIST. Qualifications: 1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. 2. Proven experience 4-5 working in a cybersecurity role, preferably in a transportation or critical infrastructure environment. Generalist Security, IoT/OT, Security, NIST, CISA background. 3. Extensive experience with Firewalls (functionality and maintenance), Office 365 Security, VSX, and Endpoint Security. In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, practices, technologies, and standards. 4. Hands-on experience with security tools, such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, antivirus, and vulnerability assessment tools. 5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess complex security issues and develop effective solutions. 6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams. 7. Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ are preferred. 8. Experience with network and system administration, including Linux and Windows environments, is desirable. 9. Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus. 10.
