PRIMARY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES Collaborate with stakeholders, including business users, project managers, and developers, to understand their needs and gather requirements for the new website. Prioritize requirements based on their impact on project duration and business value. Analyze existing business processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement and optimization in the new system. Streamline processes to reduce project duration and increase efficiency. Create detailed documentation, including functional specifications, user stories, use cases, and process flows, to communicate requirements effectively to the development team. Ensure clear and concise communication to minimize misunderstandings and rework. Facilitate communication and collaboration between business users, project managers, and development teams to ensure alignment and understanding of project goals and requirements. Proactively address any conflicts or issues that may arise to minimize delays. Work closely with the development team to translate business requirements into technical solutions, ensuring that the new website meets the needs of the business and its users. Provide technical guidance and expertise to expedite the development process. Collaborate with the testing team to define test cases and scenarios, ensuring that the new website meets the specified requirements and functions as expected. Develop a comprehensive testing and quality assurance strategy to minimize defects and rework. Support the change management process by assisting with user training, documentation updates, and communication of system changes to stakeholders. Ensure a smooth transition and adoption of the new website to minimize disruptions. Identify potential risks and issues that may impact the project's duration and success. Work with the project team to develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans to minimize delays and ensure timely delivery. Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in web development and customer portal solutions. Implement agile practices and methodologies to increase project efficiency and adaptability. Provide guidance and support to junior business analysts and other team members, sharing your expertise and knowledge to help them grow their skills. Foster a collaborative and supportive environment to maximize productivity and minimize project duration. QUALIFICATIONS Education / Experience / Background Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business Administration. Proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in web development or software implementation projects. Knowledge / Skills / Abilities Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Solid understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile practices. Experience with Drupal or similar content management systems is highly desirable Good experience in using industry-standard design and work management tools such as Jira, Google Docs, Lucid Chart, etc Knowledge of utility industry processes and customer portal solutions is a plus. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to guide and support junior team members.
