This is a long-term contract. Our client's Retail Warehousing product is undergoing a modernization initiative, which involves developing a React Native mobile app and a workstation app. This multi-year project requires collaboration across various teams to achieve its goals. Required Skills: Technically sound REACT Native, REACT JS, Java, Spring/Spring boot Framework, Angular JS Ability to mentor rest of the engineers on the team Strong communication / ability to articulate, challenge team, business and stakeholders and try to solve the right way. Solution and delivery focused. AWS migration and implementation experience Preferred Skills :Product Modernization experience Domain Knowledge and understanding of Supply chain/Retail/warehouse operations Required Experience:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field Hands on experience building React Native Mobile apps and Web apps 7-10 years of development experience Deep understanding of mobile, client-server development Knowledge of Material Design Design and architecture knowledge Experience with Android test automation & CI frameworks Experience developing consumer apps Experience with Agile software development Great understanding/knowledge of Java and object oriented design Core Responsibilities of the Role: Software Development: Improve understanding of core software engineering concepts. Code small and large features, including developing and maintaining internal libraries and tools. Design features and participate in production support. Build, test, release, and maintain Android applications. Technical Leadership:Mentor and guide team members in coding best practices. Perform technical code reviews to ensure quality. Provide direction to an engineering team, ensuring adherence to development methodologies such as agile. Strategic Planning:Contribute to strategic planning and participate in planning activities. Anticipate technical issues at the product level and make architectural and design decisions to avoid them. Communicate technical decisions effectively to product and technical partners. Continuous Improvement: Keep up-to-date with industry technology trends and modern software delivery techniques. Learn and apply industry trends to enhance products and engineering practices. Enforce development processes such as continuous integration, static code analysis, and test automation. Collaboration:Partner with team-specific stakeholders, product, UX, and analytics to drive requirements considering all stakeholders' needs. Prototype and develop new v1 products leveraging consumer and enterprise business. Quality Assurance:Ensure solution integrity throughout project phases. Manage change requests and clarify solution capabilities during delivery. Design and User Experience: Value design and user experience by having an eye for amazing design.
