Ideally, this person will be local to East Lansing, MI and able to come into the office 3X/week. This needs to be a senior-level resource. (senior is not defined by years of experience, but means that this person has created 12+ bots) Needs to be capable of mentorship. This person will be responsible for mentoring an intern to step in and take over this function after the contract is up Needs to prioritize fast communication. This means that this person will be the type to check their email first thing in the morning and respond to all questions/requests ASAP. The hiring manager will not work well with someone who takes 3 hours to respond to an email. Key skill is Automation Anywhere Ruby Scripting is a nice to have PowerAutomate is a nice to have JOB DESCRIPTION Skills: Proficiency in Automation Anywhere: Extensive experience in designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions using Automation Anywhere. Must possess advanced knowledge of Automation Anywhere functionalities, including task bots, meta bots, and IQ bots. Strong understanding of RPA Concepts: Thorough understanding of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) concepts and methodologies. Ability to analyze business processes for automation suitability and identify opportunities for optimization. Knowledge of Ruby Scripting (Nice to have): Familiarity with Ruby scripting language is desirable. Ability to write, debug, and maintain Ruby scripts to enhance automation capabilities and customize solutions as needed. Familiarity with PowerAutomate (Nice to have): Basic understanding of PowerAutomate (formerly Microsoft Flow) is advantageous. Ability to leverage PowerAutomate for integrating workflows and automating tasks within the Microsoft ecosystem. Problem-solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues, optimize processes, and ensure the smooth functioning of automation solutions. Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders, understand business requirements, and translate them into effective automation solutions. Responsibilities: Designing and Developing Automation Solutions: Design, develop, and deploy automation solutions using Automation Anywhere, adhering to best practices and industry standards. Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into automated workflows. Process Assessment and Optimization: Analyze existing business processes to identify automation opportunities. Work closely with process owners to optimize workflows, streamline operations, and improve efficiency through automation. Scripting and Customization: Develop and maintain Ruby scripts to enhance automation capabilities and customize solutions as per specific business requirements. Explore innovative ways to extend Automation Anywhere functionalities using scripting techniques. Testing and Deployment: Conduct thorough testing of automation solutions to ensure accuracy, reliability, and scalability. Coordinate with IT teams for deployment and implementation of automation solutions across different environments. Documentation and Training: Document design specifications, development workflows, and deployment procedures for automation solutions. Provide training and support to end-users and stakeholders to ensure seamless adoption and utilization of automated processes. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest RPA trends, tools, and technologies. Continuously evaluate existing automation solutions for optimization opportunities and propose enhancements to drive continuous improvement. Collaboration and Support: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, operations, and business units to drive automation initiatives.
