| From: anilj, RBC [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Automation Engineer Location: Onsite (Lansdale, PA) Duration: 8 Months Years of Experience: 12.00 Years of Experience Experience with having worked on shift Open to 12 hour shift PLC/ Robotics/ Automation systems who will work MULTIPLE shifts OR a NIGHT shift only open to a contractor who can work only nights: 7 PM 7 AM, 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 3 days off. OR The contractor would be on a day shift for 2 months, then switch to night for 2 months. They currently operate 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on 3 days off; it equates to 84 hours in a 2 week period. There will be a shutdown period typically during Christmas where the contractor wouldn't be expected to work, but it's adhoc, usually 3 weeks (they would be at the standard rate during this time). The contractor would also be on the STD rate as they onboard. Job Summary: The Automation Engineer is responsible for developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting control systems in an industrial environment. This position is responsible for design, programming and configuration of DCS systems, PLCs, SCADA and related software. They will provide technical support to customers, develop technical documents, and participate in project management and project coordination. The Automation Engineer will be responsible for the development and implementation of automation strategies for industrial process control systems. They will be required to have a working knowledge of industrial control systems, and be able to communicate effectively with customers, engineers, and other stakeholders. Needs to be comfortable with the night shift work. Job Description: As a shift automation engineer the following are expected to form the overall job description: Work on Incident management, Service request management, Problem management and Change management areas. Must possess excellent interpersonal, communication, documentation, presentation and computer skills. Works in a team based environment and exchanges technical information with management, technical support personnel, and equipment vendors. Execute IQ, OQ for Control Systems Development and Enhancements Develop system validation documentation and ensure system validation compliance. Manage and update system documentation including SOPs. Create and manage application-specific knowledge management. Programming of various Control Systems applications and HMIs Roles & Responsibilities: Design, program, and configure DeltaV systems, PLCs, SCADA and related software. Provide technical support to customers, engineers, and other stakeholders. Develop technical documents, including design specification, user manuals, and operational procedures. Develop and implement automation strategies for industrial process control systems. Troubleshoot, maintain, and upgrade existing control systems. Participate in project management and project coordination. Monitor and analyze system performance. Ensure regulatory compliance with safety, environmental and quality standards. Utilize best practices, standards and procedures related to automation systems. Maintain and update knowledge of evolving automation technologies.
