AWS Architect

Location:          New Jersey. 3-days per week on-site.

Details:

Masent D&A and working with a global client based in New Jersy, US that requires an experienced AWS Architect on an initial 6-12-month contract basis.

It will be a hybrid working model with some on-site working required in New Jersey.

The client requires an experienced Architect to enhance and improve the existing AWS solution including improving the real-time reporting data for the business.

Skills & Responsibilities:
At least 6-8 years of experience as an AWS Architect
Previous experience dealing with complex AWS issues for large corporations worldwide
Strong expertise with AWS Landing zones
Build CI/CD pipelines
Strong communication skills, comfortable in consulting the business on best practices
Stay updated on AWS services, features, and industry trends to continuously improve solution designs
Can work on-site in New Jersey 3 days per week

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

                 Analyze, design and architect cloud-based solutions in a AWS environment considering integration to IaaS, PaaS and SaaS.
Capture the project demand, design the solution, implement the cloud infrastructure and manage the performance to support the business priorities.
Design and implement the essential processes to run the IT operations on the cloud for the Core Infrastructure, OS management, storage, databases, alerting, monitoring, patching, network, security, virus protection and backup
Automate the Infrastructure cloud provisioning by using Cloud Formation and PowerShell scripting
Partner with IT application leadership to develop automated engineering platforms (AWS and Azure DevOps)
Ability to implement landing zones and best practices in AWS and Azure
Responsible for determining and ensuring Information Technology standards across all regions
Develop policies and procedures for operational processes in order to ensure compliance with established standards and regulations
Responsible to build the Disaster Recovery Plan and perform the test every year
Maintain the integrity and reliability of the global datacenter and cloud infrastructure
Develop the technology roadmaps, maintain the infrastructure current and patched timely
Design, justify and develop ROI for new technology implementation
Daily connect with client team; Co-Ordination between onsite and offshore
Communication with Senior Management and application stakeholders
Analyze the interdependency between application team and Infra (cloud) support and provide solutions
Governance review
Review architecture and suggest best practices, in alignment with AWS
Advanced cost optimization suggestions

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

                 AWS Certified Solution Architect Professional
Strong infrastructure cloud design skills
Ability to prioritize and organize projects and tasks
Goal achievement through effective planning and efficient execution
Ability to thrive in a challenging, high visibility role
Ability to work in an agile project methodology
A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
