| Job Title: Sr. Oracle DBA Hybrid 3 days in office 2 day remote (Need DL from OH) Location Akron, OH Duration 1 year USC GC Only Key Technical Skills: Proficiency in Oracle Database Administration Experience with UNIX/Linux systems Strong knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL Familiarity with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) Proficiency in UNIX shell scripting Experience with database backups, export/migrations, upgrades, patching, and performance tuning Ability to perform database maintenance tasks (e.g., table and index reorganizations, stats collection, parameter changes, restarts) Key Responsibilities: Ensure the integrity, security, and availability of multiple Oracle databases Execute database tasks such as backups, migrations, upgrades, patching, and performance tuning Investigate and troubleshoot database performance issues Provide incident and change/release support Participate in shared on-call support duties Configure and maintain Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) for optimal monitoring and management Collaborate with development teams to optimize database performance and assist with SQL and PL/SQL development Soft Skills: Strong communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to work effectively in a team environment Strong problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment Commitment to continuous learning and improvement Required Certifications/Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred) Oracle Database Administrator Certified Professional (OCP) (preferred) Job Location: Flexible/Remote options available, with on-site requirements 2-3 days a week Additional Requirements: Minimum of 1 year commitment Ability to cover shared on-call support Legal right to work in the job location This position offers a challenging and dynamic work environment where expertise in Oracle database administration on UNIX/Linux systems is crucial.
