Please let me know your interest in the below role- Networking SME Location: Most of the work will be remote; Must be open to some travel to client sites Duration: 6+ months Visa: USC,GC,GCEAD,H4EAD & OPT Network/Consultant Estimate of Hours : Immediate Need: 40 hours per week for two (2) to three (3) weeks of the build-out phase Potential Ongoing: 0.5 hours per week to 10 hours per week Eventually could become 40 hours per week Future Potential: Build-out of Day 2 items Additional datacenter build-outs (4 to 10+ of them) Potential internal and client Cyber Defense Advisors work All travel expenses will be paid by CDA/Client for the consultant. As promised, below is the job description for the networking guru we are looking for. Develop configurations for and prepare staff to maintain network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and Wi-Fi access points with a focus on Cisco and Palo Alto devices. Lead the design and implementation of network architecture for data center installations, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security. Credential skills with clients across multiple areas of expertise including network engineers, project managers, physical security engineers, and other staff. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior network engineers and installation team(s). Perform analysis to determine network capacity, optimization opportunities, and security recommendations to meet current and future demands. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including systems administrators, security specialists, facilities personnel, and project managers to ensure seamless integration of network infrastructure. Develop network monitoring solutions to continuously analyze network performance and enable troubleshooting of issues troubleshoot issues leading to high availability. Implement security best practices and protocols to protect network infrastructure from cyber threats. Develop and maintain documentation including network diagrams, configurations, and procedures. Expertise in network protocols and technologies such as TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, and VPNs. Define and implement strategies to automate deployment of network configurations, remote access, software updates, etc. Hands-on experience with network equipment from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, Arista, and Palo Alto Networks. Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, or equivalent are greatly preferred to credential skills with clients. Previous work for hosting companies, telecoms, and other data centers is preferred.
