| Title: Senior AWS Database Developer Location - Charlotte (NC) Locals Preferred Duration: 6+month Visa - USC ONLY Imp Note : Need someone who have more than 13+years of experience with some healthcare experience is deal breaker We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced senior Cloud Database Developer to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will be a key contributor to accelerate our on-premises Oracle database-based financial reporting tool to the AWS Cloud. This role requires expertise in AWS data services, database migration, and implementing cloud-native architectures. Responsibilities for the Senior AWS Database Developer: . Evaluate current end state cloud native data architecture and propose any applicable optimization recommendations. . Implement the migration of a large-scale Oracle database to AWS Aurora, Redshift, R3 Spectrum, S3, Athena, and Glue as part of the cloud-native data architecture ensuring scalability, performance, cost effectiveness and security. . Collaborate closely with closely with cross-functional teams to optimize the data migration strategies and execute the migration plan efficiently. . Mentor and upskill current team members in AWS cloud database technologies and best practices. . Develop and implement data governance and security measures in compliance with industry standards and company policies. Requirements for the Senior AWS Database Developer: . Extensive hand-on experience with large-scale database migration projects to AWS, particularly Oracle to AWS Aurora and Redshift. . Proficiency in AWS data services such as Aurora, Redshift, S3, Athena, Glue, and R3 Spectrum. . Deep understanding of cloud-native data architecture principles and best practices. . Expertise in database performance optimization, troubleshooting, and tuning in cloud environments. . Strong knowledge of SQL, ETL processes and data modeling. . Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams. Preferred Qualifications for the Senior AWS Database Developer: . AWS certification(s) related to database services (e.g., AWS Certified Database - Specialty). . Prior experience in financial reporting or business analytics projects. . Experience mentoring and upskilling team members in cloud database technologies.
