This a permanent role that will not allow help with sponsorship and must be able to go permanent with the organization day one. This is a 100% onsite role in Independence, Ohio. The Sr. Cloud Systems Engineer is responsible for building, maintaining, and monitoring scalable and cost-effective cloud and on-premises infrastructure according to best practices. This role backs up the Technology Director, works closely with the companys team to document new builds and upgrades., assist with break/fix issues and document solutions, perform after hour activities as necessary, and support other aspects of the Technology team as required. Major Duties and Responsibilities: Maintains internal Active Directory, AWS, Azure, Backups/Restores, Disaster Recovery Processes and Procedures, MFA, ADFS/Azure SSO, infrastructure (hypervisors, servers, file servers, and storage) o Office 365, Teams and SharePoint creation and governance as well as migrations, OneDrive, User Management, Azure AD Connect. o Azure Policies, Management Groups, Monitoring, Runbooks, ARM templates, scripting, cost monitoring, App Registrations, Enterprise Apps, etc. o AWS Control Tower, Account creation/integration, scripting, cost monitoring, etc. o On-Prem infrastructure, Active Directory, ADFS, Storage, Citrix, etc. Designs solutions for non-standard M&A activities. Collaborates with and provides support to other functional areas of Company Technology teams to maintain and contribute to operational success. Assists Service Desk with overflow support. Develops strategies to keep Companys solutions best in class while maintaining costs. Maintains and updates Engineering documentation. Maintains and updates automation scripts. Provides strategic consulting, support, and guidance regarding key IT initiatives. Works closely with colleagues to measure and improve services. Adhere to change management procedures, including review, coordination, scheduling, communication, implementation, and follow-up procedures as they relate to company and industry standard best practices. Monitors network to ensure optimal internal and external network availability, resilience, and performance of voice and data operations. Develops contingency plans, mitigates risk through configuration backups and staging of recovery resources. Perform 24x7 emergency troubleshooting and repair of systems impacting or making impact to official company operations. Experience/Credentials: Bachelors Degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience in IT. Certifications are a plus. Minimum 10 years IT experience in IT Systems Administration with strong concentration in cloud solutions. Project Management experience is a plus. Financial industry experience is strongly preferred. Ability to work extended hours, rotating on-call shift, weekends, and holidays persistent with firm demands (up to 25%) High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, Word, Adobe, and PowerPoint.
