ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES MANAGEMENT This is an individual contributor role. WORK QUALITY Ensure that the values, objectives and quality standards of the Company are achieved/met. Periodically work with the Manager of business intelligence to strategize work and ensure deliverables are met. Ensure high quality standards are maintained for all data science initiatives and prescribe solutions where needed. WORK EFFICIENCY Ability to handle multiple complex projects simultaneous with overlapping deadlines. Work within a controlled BI environment and effectively communicate, document, and implement change. Provide training to end users on the best possible ways to comprehend the data and make decision seamlessly COMPANY EXPECTATIONS Comply with all Company policies and procedures as outlined in the employee handbook. Maintain a good rapport with all employees of Gerber/ Boyd Group. Take responsibility in your area of employment with Gerber/Boyd for reporting, making recommendations and correcting situations adverse to the Companys best interest. Sr Data Scientist QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Around 9 years of experience working in an analytics/statistical environment with a progressive career path. 2. Proven understanding of operational data, experience with the collision/automotive industry is a huge plus. 3. Proven track record of innovating complex analysis that resulted in action taken by the company to increase profits & operational efficiency. 4. Proven expertise in advanced analytics including building, testing, and deploying predictive/regression/prescriptive models as well as Time-Series Modeling 5. Hands on experience coding in R, Python, SAS, MATLAB, SQL or similar database, statistical, Deep Learning and optimization languages 6. Collaborate with operational/IT business leads to recognize and help adopt best practices in data analysis. 7. Experience working with AWS suite of tools & SaaS platforms for BI like Domo, Tableau etc. Working experience with Domo is a huge plus 8. Act as the custodian of data federated through the reporting platform. 9. Act as SME/lead for a team of super users who consume data from the platform and build reports and dashboards for consumption across the enterprise. 10. Ability to work with a minimal amount of direction while being proactive in keeping their management informed of project related issues 11. Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time and shift priorities quickly 12. Proven strong problem-solving skills, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis 13. Strong aspiration to learn new technologies 14. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) 15.
