Provide Visio diagrams, roadmaps, working with the business and technology stakeholders providing technology solutions for various client initiatives. Job Description Performs work under the guidance of the Enterprise Architect. The Solutions Architect will focus on key solution areas of business technology for our banking client. They will ensure that robust, scalable, secure and adaptable solutions are in place for the most strategic business capabilities while minimizing cost and effort needed to support non-strategic business capabilities. The Solutions Architect provides the necessary leadership, analysis and design skills to support the development, selection, and integration of technology solutions to ensure that solutions meet business needs and align with architectural governance and standards. He or she creates deliverables for managing the organization's portfolio of "to be" and "as is" solutions including systems (applications, processes and information), shared infrastructure services, and shared application services and components to enable and drive targeted business outcomes. Working in assigned solution areas, the solution architect will develop roadmaps, reference architectures and will provided guidance and direction to project teams. This is a highly visible position in the company and therefore the chosen candidate will be a self-starter with strong communication, influencing, and collaboration skills. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Work with business leaders, IT Leaders, solution owners, developers, and technology providers to turn business needs into actionable solutions architecture Act as a consultant on a range of technologies, platforms, and vendor offerings to drive targeted business outcomes Create and maintain reference architectures and standards for assigned solution area(s) Understands emerging technology trends and the practical application of existing, new, and emerging technologies to enable new and evolving business capabilities Provide guidance to project teams prior to implementation, and advise during implementation as issues arise Monitors the current-state solution portfolio to identify deficiencies through aging of the technologies used by the application, or misalignment with business requirements.
