| Client: Eplus Title: Storage Engineer Location: Dayton, NJ/Piscataway, NJ/Orangeburg, NY-Hybrid Duration: 12 months Visa: USC, GC MOI: Skype Until they hand over tape loading/unloading to another team, consultant is expected to do tape operations in all 3 data centers. Apart from tape operations, consultant will have to handle restore requests and fixing backup failures. Uses Veritas NetBackup Storage Engineer Project Description: Leveraging the higher density of LTO 9 and 10 series tapes, the project involves reading out data from the legacy LTO tapes and rewriting into LTO 9/10 series in order to reduce the number of tapes that Company needs to retain for compliance purposes. Responsibilities also include: Handling internal client restore requests end to end, including working with vendors and data center stakeholders to ensure tapes with relevant data are onsite and available in the tape library Troubleshoot any backup or restore errors Interfacing with data center and tape library vendors to troubleshoot and ensure any hardware failures are addressed and remedied in timely fashion. Qualifications: 2+ years of experience with Veritas Netbackup Software 2+ years of experience Tape Operations Oracle Tape Libraries (SL series) Oracle Key Manager IBM Tape Libraries (TS Series) IBM Key Manager (GKLM) SAN Array, NFS Filer, DataDomain knowledge extra, but not necessary Bachelor Degree preferred.
