Must Have Local Consultant Washington, DC Client: DC Gov Agency Job Title: Network Engineer Job location: Washington, DC (Hybrid 3 days onsite) must be local to DMV area Work Auth: USC, GC, H1B, H4, GC EAD MOI: Skype Must Have certifications such as CCNA / CCNP / CCIE-Need Certification copy as well Responsibilities: Design, implement, and manage scalable and secure network infrastructures. Configure and maintain network hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers. Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement network solutions that meet business requirements. Perform network capacity planning and upgrade activities as needed. Implement and enforce network security policies and procedures. Provide technical support and guidance to junior network engineers and IT staff. Stay up-to-date with the latest networking technologies and industry trends. Qualifications Minimum of five years of experience working as a Network Engineer in a similar role. Strong knowledge of networking protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, and MPLS. Experience with network hardware and software from leading vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto Networks, etc. Hands-on experience with network monitoring and management tools (e.g., Wireshark, Nagios, SolarWinds). Relevant industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, or equivalent . Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
