RESPONSIBILITIES Review and analysis of the Commerce Security Risk Scorecard (covering ~940 applications) daily to determine areas of focus o Including but not limited to Extracting data for each of the Security components Trending each component Identifying necessary areas of focus Current Areas of Focus o FIM Compliance o Logging to SIEM o Overdue Vulnerabilities o Overdue Findings Working with key stakeholders (application teams, SE/SRE, other) to determine solutions to gaps/issues and associated timelines Tracking progress, following up and escalating as needed Status Reporting o Compilation and summarization of data for Leadership meetings, Ops reviews, MBRs, weekly updates and other ad-hoc requests as needed Training/Guidance to Application Teams o Providing assistance, guidance and training to application teams on Security and Compliance topics on a daily basis as needed, including pointing them in the right direction to address security gaps (pen test requests; enrollment into GIS Security Monitoring programs like AV, Daily and Monthly VM scans; File Integrity Monitoring; Logging to approved centralized console; etc.) Responsibilities Drive the development of solutions, and coordinating and monitoring remediation of all security gaps coming from a variety of sources. Communicate known issues to all necessary stakeholders. Work with stakeholders across the segment, and sometimes across the enterprise, to solution and develop action plans that sufficiently address the identified risk. Monitor and track action plans to completion. Provide regular status reporting on remediation activities. Determine when escalation is required and then complete escalation activities. Prioritize work efforts based on risk.
