| Role- Automation DevOps Engineer With Ansible, Kafka Location- Memphis, TN(Hybrid)Local Only Duration- 18 month Visa- No H1B, Opt, Cpt KEY NOTES: This role will fall between mid-level to senior level developer. Please differentiate between Ansible user versus developer. This role requires a DEVELOPER. We are looking for consultants that can WRITE ANSIBLE CODE (i.e. yml, python, powershell, etc.) and NOT ones that know how to run playbooks that another individual wrote. Need Manager references with there LinkedIn ID KEY SKILLS PREFERRED: Consultant that can balance making progress vs making project perfect Ability to communicate what a user need Strongly prefer consultants who desire to help the team/organization. Job Description: Responsible for Administration and Automation of IT Infrastructure using Ansible Tower or Ansible Automation Platform which includes server build, software installation, configuration, OS Patching, Application Patching, and Network & Database Services installation and configuration. Work in an embedded role with infrastructure teams to assist in the development of reliable code. Experience w/ Kafka needed. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Serve in the role of technical subject matter expert, refining existing functional requirements for infrastructure automation. Understanding and ability to develop/script in one or more of the following languages: XML, JavaScript, JSON, Perl, Python, PowerShell, and BASH. Serves as a Subject Matter Expert in the automation stack. Desired Cloud exposure to AWS, AWS EC2, AWS S3, AWS, RedShift, Lambda, and Azure. Delivery of assigned projects on the Automation Roadmap. Collaborates with management and system architects to assess near and long-term needs. Researches infrastructure automation, infrastructure as code, services, and standards to remain abreast of developments in automation. Perform requirements analysis on automation tools. Development, configuration, integration, and testing in support of multiple network platforms. Develops automations for manual processes. Knowledge of TCP/IP networking/communication protocols. Knowledge of Microsoft Server platforms and MS network services. Knowledge of Redhat Enterprise Linux network services. Evangelize infrastructure automation processes, tools, and standards and team responsibilities with application, architecture, and infrastructure organizations. FAMILIAR WITH Infrastructure capacity planning. Client services and help desk operations. IT asset management tools and processes. Database, network, and application middleware tools.
