| Kindly share 10+ years of experience profile and local to Texas No h1b Title: Senior Python/GIS Web Developer Location: Austin, TX Hybrid/2 days a week Duration: 12+ Months Note: Working overtime may be expected in order to meet tight deadlines. Candidates may be required to work evenings or weekends to meet business needs and deadlines. Description: This position is seeking a Geospatial professional with data and web development skills using python and the Esri platform and JavaScript API. This position will serve primarily as a python developer assisting with data automation, workflow management, data publishing and data lifecycle management, and database ETL. Experience with Esri suite of products such as Web App builder, experience builder, workforce, Survey 123, Collector, ArcGIS dashboards and/or other tools a major plus. Position may support users with developing configurable web-based GIS applications to be used in an internal environment for analysis, visualization, or other business needs. Experience with Esri JavaScript API/JavaScript development required. Strong python and JavaScript programming skills will be applied to development and maintenance of web interfaces, data automations, data publishing processes, data manipulation, and ETL as primary responsibility. Position will assist with application and data management documentation, internal process wiki contributions and content, and input for training documentation. Qualifications: Minimum Years Skills/Experience: 8yrs Professional web and data development experience using one or more programming languages for automation, analysis, software, or web application development. 4yrs Professional GIS data development and workflow automation using python programming language. 4yrs Development of python automations, scripting tools, and use of Jupyter notebooks for managing custom workflows 6yrs Experience writing custom JavaScript functions for front end interfaces and web-based tools 4yrs Professional GIS data development and workflow automation. 6yrs Development of front-end tools using open APIs and REST services 6yrs Experience working with geospatial concepts, data, and platforms/software (Portal for ArcGIS, ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, GIS Web Mapping/APIs, Open-Source GIS Software and Web APIs) 4yrs Proficiency translating user stories/user requirements into web-based applications 4yrs Experience creating custom tools for ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and/or ArcGIS Enterprise. 2yrs Experiencing managing code repositories using GitHub Preferred Years Skills/Experience: 2yrs Experience using the Esri JavaScript API and working with web-based APIs to develop mapping applications and custom web tools 1yr Experience with Safe Feature Manipulation Engine (FME) 4yrs Interface customization and styling with HTML and CSS 2yrs Business analytics and data visualization skills using ArcGIS and/or Tableau 1yrs Workflow diagramming using Visio, google.io, etc. 2yrs C# development of custom tools for ArcMap or ArcGIS Pro 2yrs Technical support, knowledge of ServiceNow technology. 1yr Tableau dashboarding and visualization. 2yrs Basics of web application configuration and frameworks. 1yr Application documentation/technical writing 1yr Familiar with and able to work in other open GIS web frameworks (e.g., Leaflet) -- Keywords: csharp information technology Texas Senior Python/GIS Web Developer II Austin, TX (Hybrid) II Contract [email protected] |
