| Role- UNIX Engineer Location- Jersey City, NJ Visa- No H1B, Opt, Cpt Looking for a leadership role in UNIX engineering We are seeking a Head of UNIX Engineering to oversee our global team and enhance our infrastructure's performance, security, and reliability. This hybrid role requires 3 days onsite in Jersey City, NJ, and offers a contract-to-hire opportunity. As the Head of UNIX Engineering, you will streamline deployment processes, implement automation tools, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify innovative solutions. Your responsibilities will include managing a global team of engineers, developing Terraform Enterprise and Ansible platform modules, and establishing security measures to protect UNIX environments. You will also be responsible for capacity management, monitoring, and optimization efficiency strategies, ensuring high availability, resilience, and performance of UNIX systems. To qualify for this role, you must have at least 5 years of leadership experience in UNIX engineering, expertise in creating and using CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and automation tools. You should also have a strong understanding of security best practices and compliance standards, along with excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively across diverse teams.
