Role: Azure Architect Location: Remote Rate/ Salary: $80/hr. or $120k Job Description: Responsibilities: In-depth technical coaching on Azure DevOps Code, Azure DevOps Builds, Azure DevOps Pipelines, Artifactory Binaries Artifact Repositories (Maven, Nuget, NPM), SonarQube code coverage scans and Fortify security scans as required for BU's move to Agile and DevSecOps Manage the coaching of multiple teams CI/CD pipelines Work with team lead to define and hone best practices for Code (Code Reviews, Unit Testing, Branching Strategies etc) Provide Training and Coaching of DevSecOps tools to larger projects as the SME for Code repository, Builds and Pipelines as the expert for one or more new capabilities and train other coach on emerging cloud technologies The role is responsible for establishing, maintaining, and evolving the New Operating Model in partnership with Product Management, Engineering, and other partners at the Enterprise level Additionally, the role is accountable for developing training materials and evolving the DevOps mindset, and alignment of ceremonies across multiple teams to further improve the effective delivery of cross-team objectives. Develop strategies and plans around how to share this information with the product teams and ensure that those teams understand the concepts and how to apply them Provide active hands on coaching of product teams as needed to implement good practices related to developing, securing, deploying, and maintaining software solutions Provide hands-on coaching on best practices and agile engineering/technologies Work with teams to assess DevOps maturity Coach the teams to identify opportunities for continuous improvement Work closely with the Development, Security, Infrastructure, Operations and Testing teams to make sure Continuous Security, Infrastructure as a Code, Continuous Testing and Monitoring are integral part of the software development value stream Provide hands-on assistance and guidance of environment setup (dev, test, prod), pipeline automation, and streamlining the standup and scale-out of infrastructure Work with agile and product coaches to establish shared practices and governance Work hours9 AM - 5 PM PCT Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other technical related field or equivalent work experience 12+years in the IT industry with 7+ hands on work on infrastructure provisioning and DevOps lifecycle planning and execution 7+ years of expertise working within the agile framework 3+ years of experience coaching DevOps teams Must have strong organizational and analytical skills Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision when necessary Ability to evaluate and implement new innovations in process improvement and technology Understanding of cloud native technologies including development, deployment, security, and system reliability design patterns Excellent communication, collaboration, and influencing skills at all organizational levels; strong facilitation and executive communications skills Strong ability to effectively manage and resolve conflicting priorities Understand multiple processes and methodologies and can speak intelligently about them and leverage other techniques to provide Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive change across all levels of the organization.
