Senior Network Architect/Network Designer Pittsburgh,PA hybrid Location : Pitt or Lake Mary : 2-3 days/week Project : Migrating existing clients to a new environment: 108 clients in total, would like to break it up a little bit more. Will be partnered with a PM, but they will have responsibility across the entirety of the connections. Varied timelines for full completion of each connectivity: 8 weeks to five months. Will shadow another architect until they are comfortable. Then will be given 15-20 client contacts to work with. They hold weekly meetings with everyone. Skills : MPLS Circuits with Routers Connection to cross-managed Cross connect w/in equinix collocation centers Bridging the gaps between Realizing that all traffic is coming into a DMZ Palo Alto Firewalls, Load Balancers (F5), Routing Mechanisms: BGP Skillset is close to a pre-sales engineer. Do not get hands on in configurations of routers and switches, but they are the designers Diagram and document in Visio and PPT Engage with Client, come up with solution, design it, get client to agree and then create the blueprint for the hands-on team to build.
