The Database Analyst serves as the enterprise system administrator and is responsible for management of the STMS framework, business solution definition, data analysis of the STMS and mapping of data to customer reports, technical recommendation and testing, and project execution in support of the STMS technical initiatives and strategies, including transitioning from FLAIR to PALM. This role involves preparation of reports, analysis of data within the system and management of reporting templates used by agencies to report their travel to Executive Office of the Governor or the Legislature. The analyst also provides support to agencies with generating their own reports. Preference will be given to Candidates who have strengths in the following areas: Experience in analysis and compilation of diverse sets of information from various sources (e.g., software applications, hard copy, electronic files) into structured and documented information solutions mapped to newly formed business requirements. Experience in serving in system administration and database analyst roles for managing enterprise level (commercial off-the shelf) COTS systems of large scale. State of Florida financial system background in the specific area of expense tracking and FLAIR integration. Experience in requirements gathering and transitioning between major system interfaces. Specific experience with Salesforce development and application support is strongly preferred. STMS is a travel management application that is powered by theSalesforce platform. This application provides for electronic standardized forms for travel approvals, reimbursements, and travel advances, all of which feed into reporting functionality. These forms are electronically routed for approval and the system electronically interfaces with the state personnel system (People First) and the state accounting system (FLAIR). STMS will transition interfaces to the Florida Planning, Accounting and Ledger Management (PALM) system currently set to launch January 1, 2026.
