As an SAP shop with SAP payroll managed in-house and integrated with SuccessFactors, this role will be instrumental in shaping and executing our payroll schema and general integration with SuccessFactors, focusing on the meticulous implementation of union contracts and ensuring accurate payroll processing for all employees. What you'll do This position is responsible for maintaining, enhancing, and growing applications within the SAP payroll system Accountable for developing major technology or common shareable features across several projects Authors, reviews and approves information, requirements and specification to design and develop solutions for domains within multiple enterprise applications Architects domain with multiple teams in mind Develops, designs and implements integrated solutions to resolve highly complex technical and business issues Creates functional design documents, system reference guides, process diagrams, training materials, and process work flows Designs and implements functional and technical solutions for Payroll systems, as requested by business partners Solves complex issues that arise with system operations Creates/maintains reporting metrics and procedure documentation, to ensure consistent and accurate handling of problems and ensure SLAs are achieved Stays abreast of systems technology best practices and changing technologies to maintain domain expertise and make recommendations for enhancements or changes Experienced in developing data migration programs using BDCs Session Method, Call Transaction and LSMW for uploading of legacy data into SAP system. Knowledge in SAP Workflows Responsibilities: Lead the configuration and maintenance of the Payroll Schema within the SAP environment, ensuring compliance with union contracts and payroll regulations. Spearhead OMPA integration efforts to streamline payroll processes and enhance system efficiency. Drive the seamless integration between SAP and our HR system, with a strong preference for experience with SuccessFactors, to optimize data flow and ensure data accuracy. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to implement and test changes related to union contracts and payroll rules, with a focus on paying employees accurately the first time. Utilize BSI Tax Factory or similar third-party tax calculation tools to ensure accurate tax calculations and compliance. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering their growth and development in SAP configuration and integration. Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in SAP payroll configuration and union contract management to continually improve processes and systems. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 5-8+ years of experience in SAP configuration and development, with a focus on payroll and integration with HR systems. Proven expertise in configuring complex Payroll Schemas within SAP, particularly in a unionized environment. Extensive experience with OMPA integration and SuccessFactors integration, preferably in a large-scale enterprise environment. Strong knowledge of BSI Tax Factory or similar third-party tax calculation tools. Demonstrated ability to lead projects and initiatives, driving successful outcomes and ensuring adherence to project timelines and objectives. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Proven track record of delivering high-quality results and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a commitment to accuracy and data integrity.
