The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Windchill implementation, customization, and support, coupled with a deep understanding of the unique challenges and requirements within the automobile sector. This role will involve collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to optimize our Windchill system and enhance efficiency across various product lifecycle management (PLM) processes. The Role As a Windchill Architect, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership in the planning, design, and implementation of Windchill PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, IT, and business stakeholders, to ensure the successful deployment of Windchill applications to meet our clients' specific needs. Key Responsibilities: Led the design, development, and implementation of Windchill solutions tailored to the specific needs of the automobile industry. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and identify opportunities for system improvements. Customize Windchill modules, workflows, and interfaces to streamline PLM operations and maximize productivity. Provide technical expertise and guidance to internal teams on Windchill best practices, configuration, and integration with other enterprise systems. Conduct system performance analysis, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure optimal functionality and reliability. Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and software updates to inform continuous improvement initiatives. Document system configurations, customizations, and processes, and provide training to end-users as needed. Collaborate with vendors and external consultants as necessary to support Windchill implementation and maintenance activities. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience as a Windchill Architect or similar role, with a minimum of [3-5] years in the automobile industry. In-depth knowledge of Windchill PLM software, including configuration, customization, and administration. Define and implement Windchill configurations, customizations, and extensions to meet specific business needs. Provide technical expertise in the integration of Windchill with other enterprise systems (ERP, CAD, etc.). Perform system upgrades, patches, and enhancements to keep the Windchill environment current and optimized. Conduct system performance analysis and implement optimizations as needed. Develop and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, configuration guides, and best practices. Provide mentoring and guidance to junior team members, fostering their professional development. Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to PLM and Windchill. Strong understanding of automobile industry processes, standards, and regulatory requirements. Proficiency in Java, JSP, XML, SQL, and other relevant programming languages and technologies. Experience with Windchill modules such as PDMLink, ProjectLink, PartsLink, and Change Management. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to work on-site from day one; preference will be given to local consultants.
