| Role: Tableau Training Lead Experience: 10 Years Location: Sacramento ,CA ( Hybrid) Need Local Candidates Location: This position is a hybrid remote and on-site position. The staff member must be within driving distance of Sacramento, California, to attend on-site. This staff member must be within driving distance of Sacramento, California, to attend onsite meetings one day per week. Responsibilities: Manage a team of two Tableau Technical trainers and one Tableau developer. Create and define the Tableau Technical Training program, including training approaches, curriculum, and supporting materials. Create and define the knowledge transfer approach to county level staff on topics including the CARES data architecture and system behavior. Work with required technical teams to engage technical SMEs in knowledge transfer sessions. Define the Tableau Technical Training program training schedule to incorporate factors including training population size and the CARES Design, Development, and Implementation (DD&I) schedule. Define and implement approaches to gather, analyze, and address trainee feedback. Engage with other CARES teams to secure matrixed resources as needed (e.g., Tableau Developers). Establish communication approaches, processes, and tools for coordinating with county training participants. Manage training activities, including trainee nominations, meeting invitations, class schedule invitations, and related communications. Provide guidance and feedback on the training curriculum and materials to Tableau Technical trainers. Create processes and tools (e.g., Spreadsheets) to track, monitor, and forecast training completion. Create executive-facing presentations and progress updates. Design surveys and communications to gather information, including the training population size and training level needs. Conduct training sessions, including curriculum review, conducting training exercises, and monitoring trainee progress. Monitor and track the resolution of trainee issues, including training exercises and technical support needs. Facilitate focus groups and conduct surveys to gather trainee feedback. Manage escalations to other CARES teams (e.g., Tableau Development, Identity & Access Management) to address trainee issues and support needs. Mandatory Qualifications: Minimum of five years of experience delivering training to technical staff. Minimum of two years' experience leading training teams. Previous experience managing a training program for a large-scale government project. Previous experience conducting remote training via web conference tools (e.g., Teams, Webex, Zoom). Experience building and maintaining project schedules to track progression of the training program and training completion. Strong written and verbal communication. Desired Skills/Experience: Previous experience working with California county-level staff. Knowledge of California county work patterns and union work restrictions. At least two years of experience creating Tableau visualizations and reports or holds a current Tableau Desktop Specialist certification. Understanding of database concepts, including data dictionaries and data models. Conceptual understanding of Structured Query Language (SQL).
