Role : Azure DevOps Engineer location : Vienna, VA Hybrid: Weekly Once Onsite (Face to Face interview Mandatory) Job Description: *This role is Hybrid and candidates must be local to HQ with a 2 days a week in office requirement. The DevOps Engineer will join a 8 person Digital DevOps team and support the multiple Development/Experience Teams who are developing our next generation, Cloud-based banking system. While there will be some operations related tasks, the focus of this DevOps position is more on the Dev side of DevOps. By that we mean their primary focus will be on providing Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CI) support to ensure that Azure repos/pipelines are working properly and that Development Team CI/CD issues get resolved quickly so that maximum efficiency/velocity can be maintained. We are also in the process of migrating our Cloud-based banking system from Tanzu/PCF platform to Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and anticipate the resource participating in related activities and providing day-to-day support to the Development teams as we make that transition. Key skill sets include: demonstrated hands-on experience with creating/maintaining pipelines (preferable using Azure DevOps) for multiple environments experience with Kubernetes and the use of Helm Charts (a Kubernetes deployment tool for automating the creation, packaging, configuration, and deployment of services to Kubernetes clusters) ability and experience reading code (particularly front-end code technologies such as Node.JS, Angular, other JavaScript languages) in order to help Development team engineers troubleshoot and resolve issues associated with their code, code integration, and their code repositories/pipelines We believe that in addition to pure DevOps Engineers, front-end software engineers that have worked in an Azure environment and used Azure DevOps for CI/CD activities, could effectively perform in our DevOps Eng position. Basic Purpose The Digital DevOps Engineer will join the Digital Engineering organization focused on delivering rapid, incremental capabilities to the Cloud that improve the member/user experience and drive value .The Digital DevOps Engineer will become a member of the Digital DevOps & Release team that provides horizontal support to all Digital Engineering/Experience teams. To support and participate in Digitals Agile development and engineering activities throughout the lifecycle and drive DevOps automation and strategies that align with industry best practices. To collaborate with Product owners, developers, cloud engineers, DevOps engineers and operations to plan, design, test and deliver pipelines using a Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) model and ensure Digitals applications are ready for seamless production transition and successful operations. Responsibilities Manage, build, configure, administer, operate and maintain all components that comprise the Azure DevOps environment Work with Experience Teams to integrate their products into the DevOps environment Design, build, and implement pipelines and configurations Develop and maintain scripts to automate tool/service deployment to the Azure cloud environment through Azure DevOps Pipeline and Release. Enforce quality controls and gates to the build, test, and deploy process while establishing Definition of Ready and Definition of Done to ensure quality of delivery Ensure monitoring and alerting is implemented for products/services in accordance with current guidelines Participate in discussions/efforts with Information Security to augment the CI/CD framework with DevSecOps practices and standardized security tools and controls Participate in discussions with engineering teams on current processes and capabilities and how they can be improved Perform other duties as assigned in support of Digital Engineering Qualifications Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience Experience using the following front-end technologies: Node.JS, Angular, other JavaScript technologies Experience supporting front-end developers and providing CI/CD support for front-end technologies.
