From: Pallavi, nss [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Title: Senior Systems Administrator Location: Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland Schedule: Monday through Friday - onsite 1 day per week Job Type: 6 month contract to hire - 40 hour work weeks Clearance Requirement: Active Secret clearance Certification Requirement: Active CompTIA Security+ Interview Process: 2 virtual rounds Target Start Date: ASAP Performs administration, maintenance and support tasks necessary to ensure effective and efficient information technology (IT) system performance and security Installs, configures, troubleshoots, and maintains server and systems configurations (hardware and software) to ensure their confidentiality, integrity, and availability Administers server-based systems, security devices, distributed applications, network storage, messaging, and performs systems monitoring Consults on network, application, and customer service issues to support computer systems security and sustainability Maintains a systems cyber security posture to include scanning and remediation of cyber vulnerabilities Performs risk analysis to identify threats, vulnerabilities and likelihood and impact of exploitation Performs user support and problem resolution. Understands, follows and promotes the values and principles in the Agile Manifesto Understands, follows and promotes continuous cyber security risk management Qualifications Able to lead a team by identifying the work required and appropriately delegating tasks to team members. Able to oversee work performed by others and ensure quality by identifying and correcting errors. A Bachelors Degree, in Computer Science, Mathematics, or other Engineering or Technical discipline + 5 years of relevant experience all within the last 5 years. Five (5) additional years of applicable experience with appropriate certifications/relevant experience may be substituted for the degree. (Total 10 yrs experience) Tasks Break/Fix support for the SE2 Infrastructure Support SE2 CSfC solution Continuous improvement and automation of Domain Services Collaboration within a cross-functional team for task execution Automate software updates and provide support of OS/applications upgrades, ensuring that any manual repetitive tasks, such as application installation or upgrades, can be streamlined through the use of scripts, such as PowerShell or Ansible. All scripts will be maintained in a SE2 repository. Definition of technical requirements based on existing capabilities. Participate in the continuous improvement of the customer-facing portal by offering recommendations, enriching content, introducing new content, and suggesting improvements to business process. Documentation of processes or how-tos for future reference and service desk support Conduct an analysis and define future equipment needs, exploring the viability of an engineered solution where applicable. Reporting and monitoring the health and performance of servers. Provide assistance for on-premises lab activities, encompassing hardware upgrade and maintenance support. Provide management, monitoring, and resolution of infrastructure project tickets with automation focus Support systems sustained in the SE2 environment(s) (hybrid cloud, on-prem) This is to include but not limited to: RBAC Resource analysts Maintenance Operating system upgrades Application upgrades Provision or deprovision Application or security compliance Assist in the migration of both pre-existing or new systems. Technical work necessary to sustain existing SE2 Environment using automated technologies such as JIRA, Confluence, GitLab, Bitbucket, Nexus, Jenkins, Selenium, Fortify, SonarQube, CodeDX, MS Azure, Azure DevOps, Linux, Windows Server, Ansible, Terraform, Active Directory, and Amazon Web Services Continuous technical support for addressing problems with connections/migrations. Documentation of customer needs as functional and technical requirements. Definition of technical requirements based on user stories or functional requirements. Creation and maintenance of customer artifacts supporting lab agreements, interconnects, and maintenance support.
