Role: Sr. IT Business Analyst Location: New York City NY 2 to 3 days office per week 18 to 24 months contract Rate: $60/hr on C2C Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To excel in this role, the Senior IT Analyst must demonstrate proficiency in or be willing to learn: Commercial Insurance Systems Analysis: Collaborate with key stakeholders to analyze existing manual and automated aspects of commercial insurance systems, including policy administration, claims management, and related processes. Establish requirements for new lines of business and enhancement capabilities, identifying areas for improvement and optimization. Solution Design and Implementation: Develop innovative solutions to address identified system issues or inefficiencies in policy/claims administration and related processes. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to implement recommended solutions efficiently, considering data architecture, system integrations, and business process design principles. Business Intelligence Development: Support the development and implementation of business intelligence capabilities, including data visualization, dashboards, and reporting solutions. Empower stakeholders with actionable insights, fostering data-driven decision-making across various functions. Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Investigate and diagnose complex technical problems related to commercial insurance systems and business process design. Manage ticketing systems and collaborate with technical teams to provide timely and effective solutions, minimizing system downtime. Training and Support: Prepare comprehensive documentation for programs related to commercial insurance systems. Provide training and technical support to end-users, insurance professionals, and IT teams. Evaluate reports on system performance, data quality, and recommended improvements for management and stakeholders. Industry Knowledge and Best Practices: Stay updated with commercial insurance industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies. Provide recommendations for technology adoption, process improvements, and effective business process design. Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Advanced understanding of office applications, including MS Office, Microsoft Visio, and communication/collaboration tools. Familiarity with Data Modeling, Architecture, Integration, Governance, Metadata, Master/Reference Data Management. Familiarity with Snowflake, AWS, Oracle would be beneficial.
