Expected to work typical Freddie Mac hours (9 to 5) and participate in a week-long on-call rotation every seven weeks; on-call time is compensated within the pay, not as overtime. Role Details: Utilizes agile methodology for project management. Involves engineering solutions for AWS core services and support or rollout to Freddie Macs applications teams. Daily standups and working sessions for collaboration and support. Projects tracked using Jira, with some support requests through ServiceNow. Primary and secondary on-call rotations, with light on-call duties expected. Python is the main programming language for automation and development tasks. Skills and Experience: Knowledge of AWS administration and development capabilities. Experience with cloud formation templates, lambda functions, and cloud custodian for platform hygiene and automated reporting. Not strictly looking for candidates with a Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Information Technology if they have relevant experience. Industry experience is not critical; focus is on engineering skills rather than domain knowledge. Work Environment: The team is shifting towards a preference for on-site presence to enhance productivity and effective collaboration, especially for consultants and new team members.
