Senior Workday Testing Analyst

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Define the test strategies for Functional, Automation, Regression and Smoke Testing

Understand and implement the testing processes

Prepare functional and automation test plans

Identify and communicate risks during test planning and execution phases

Own (Lead) / Contribute (Member) to the end-to-end testing tasks like scoping, estimation, planning, work allocation, resource management, test design & execution, defect management, progress tracking & status reporting, management reporting, UAT support, test closure etc.

Plan & coordinate for timely availability of the test data & environments

Proactively communicate and collaborate with project teams, test teams and support partners across US & India

Ensure that all post test execution wrap up activities are conducted for projects per procedure / requirements

Facilitate regular communication with IT and business partners using various methods to monitor progress toward project goals / milestones, task status, and identify / address issues

Self-starter, highly organized; Works well with all functional levels in the organization; excellent presentation and interpersonal skills; high level of business management and facilitation skill; capability to resolve complex problems with minimum confusion, frustration, and inconveniences for all parties concerned.

Define and implement the QA metrics framework

Identify & drive the improvement opportunities in the QA space

Proactively communicate and collaborate with the other QA & non-QA teams

Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to partner with business, HRIS teams including technical and non-technical at all levels

Functional Knowledge

Desired Experience

Experience with the Workday HCM eco - system including both technical -functional aspects of Workday, specializing in Workday HCM Functional Modules and integration.

Have excellent Workday Testing skills to Test Design and execute in various tools like PRISM, Workday Functional and Integration modules

Proficient in HCM modules like Core HCM, Benefits, Compensation, Staffing, Recruiting, Payroll, Security Groups, Absence Management, Performance, Learning, Recruiting, Talent Management and Time Tracking.

Experience working on either Oracle Fusion HCM, PeopleSoft HR, JD Edwards or E Business Suite

Experience in System Integration, Regression and End-to-end testing HCM Applications, Workforce Management, ESS, MSS and Security

Experience working on Workday Automation Tools like Genie, Kinos Smart

Must have an understanding of limitations and opportunities presented by Workday HCM

Experience working in an Agile/Scrum/Waterfall development process

Establish and evolve formal QA processes, ensuring that the team is using industry-accepted best practices

Oversee all aspects of quality assurance including establishing metrics, applying industry best practices, and developing new tools and processes to ensure quality goals are met

Good SDLC, Agile Testing, Automation, Test Driven Dev methodologies

Defect Management tool - HPQC/ALM

Proficiency in defect triage calls

Nice to have

Enterprise Automation - Robotic Process Automation, Automation Testing, Workflows Automation Preferred

Performance Testing knowledge preferred

Ability to take an active, visible role in supporting change efforts

Ability to proactively identify opportunities for cost-savings and efficiency improvement

Lead and mentor QA team members

Technical Skills

Good understanding of data warehouse and ETL process; and related testing processes

Good understanding on Batch processes and related testing

Excellent in SQL and data analysis skills

Excellent in MS excel and other MS office applications

Automation Scripting Experience - QTP, Selenium, ETL Validator or similar toolset

Nice to have

Testing Certifications Ex: ISTQB, HP UFT Certifications, Workday and Oracle Certifications etc.

Qualification & Industry Expertise

Experience: 5 to 8 years of relevant work experience (Team Members / Lead)

Qualification: Graduation in Computer Engineering or related subjects
