| Position: Linux Engineer- L2 Location: 100% Remote Length: 6 months Start: 3 Weeks Interview: Video Rate: $45 Per hour MAX Visa Status: No H1B, GC Client: NTT Data Americas, LLC Job Description: Must Haves: Bachelors & 4-6 years of experience supporting Open Source Linux (CentOS, Rocky, RHEL -free) Experience with Perl, Bash or other standard scripting languages Open minded/curious or experienced with automation via scripting (moving away for legacy mindsets around things not getting updated). Responsibilities: Day to day support/administration and patching: Must have experience in deploying, configuring, and managing/supporting Linux-based systems in a business environment. Coordination and Compatibility: Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely delivery of fully tested and compatible devices that meet product requirements. Their guidance and support enable optimal usage of Linux technology. Linux Instance Management: Create, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux instances across multiple networks and architectures. Address issues reported by customers to ensure smooth operation. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelors or masters degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field. 4-6 years of experience supporting Open Source Linux (CentOS, Rocky, RHEL -free) Experience with Perl, Bash or other standard scripting languages Open minded/curious or experienced with automation via scripting (moving away for legacy mindsets around things not getting updated). Experience with Ansible is nice to have. Strong scripting and computing skills are essential. Proficiency in programming languages and working with cloud systems is valuable.
