From: Narender, Adbakx [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Job Title: Unix/Compute - Frontline Engineer Analyst OR Linux Engineer| Systems Engineer| Infrastructure Engineer Location: Dallas, TX OR Salt Lake City, UT Duration: 6+ months Note: will be required for shift to include weekend 8am 6pm - 40 hours total/week Responsibilities: Responsible for all Compute/Unix in firm, virtualization exp to manage a project they have right now. Virtualization is VM Ware, someone who knows ESXi hosts (6.5+), vCenter Server, and vSAN, Linux/RHEL/Red Hat is essential. Project is initial infrastructure refresh uplifting virtualization stack, candidate needs to know tech and someone who is able to work with vendors and has exp in infrastructure refresh or data center migration, would like to see Storage tech, troubleshooting/debugging skills, when there is a problem they have ability to debug problems and ask right questions to get to solutions. Someone that has worked with vendors and across org, independent, strong comm skills, ask clarifying questions and operate independently for part of projects Python Shop, Perl is common tool they use they also use Golang, not hands on key board role, a lot of system engineering, use scripting to automate some of the things this person will be working through - need scripting Must have Linux/Red Hat and VMWare experience is super important Must haves 6+ years experience in the following: Experience in managing Red Hat RHEL Operating Systems Optimizing network hardware and software to enable VMWare integration Experience with storage products (Dell/EMC/Hitachi) Experience with SAN, NAS, CIFS, NFS Protocols, fiber channel switches Brocade, Cisco Experience in managing and executing on large scale virtualization migration and modernization projects including physical hardware and OS/software tooling upgrades while managing cost saving optimization Design disaster recovery planning, testing and execute on failover procedures Determining business needs and evaluating existing network infrastructure and systems Strong communication and collaboration skills Preference 6+ years experience in the following: VMWare Certified Professional (VCP) preferred (VCAP Design, VCAP Deploy, VCDX a plus) Experience in other virtualization technologies Kernel-based virtual machines (KVM), Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization (container-native virtualization) Experience in container technologies Kubernetes In-depth knowledge in Virtualization and Hypervisor security including hardening techniques for the virtualization platform to prevent attack threats Experience managing relationships with vendors Thanks Narender [email protected] Keywords: Texas Utah Linux Engineer| Systems Engineer| Infrastructure Engineer | Onsite at Dallas, TX or Salt Lake, UT | Contract [email protected] |
