We may consider candidates from surrounding states (within a 3-hour drive to Baltimore, MD) who are willing to travel for the in-person interview. All candidates who are fully authorized to work in USA are eligible for consideration Job Description: These positions serve as subject matter experts on all aspects of cyber engineering, participating in cross functional teams as Cyber Engineers coordinating the development, implementation, and adoption of centrally provided cyber security services. The Cyber Engineers will support the implementation and design of the states overall cyber engineering efforts and is responsible for the statewide cyber services Responsibilities: Serve as a core contributor on multi-disciplinary project teams (internal staff and contractor staff) to improve the State cybersecurity services/solutions and respective implementation, including requirements development. Work with stakeholders to assess legacy systems and identify opportunities for improved cyber security of future systems. Lead technical solutioning to address agency intake requests and operational requirements. Assess solutions for implementation within the State as part of centralized services. Required: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, or a related field. 5+ years experience in cyber security. Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex security issues and develop effective solutions. Specific experience in engineering and implementing cyber solutions. Experience working in cross functional teams as a cyber engineer. Experience leading solution assessment and requirements development and alignment. Skills: Graduate degree or certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA Experience as a cyber engineer supporting Endpoint Managed Detection and Response (MDR), Firewall, (P)DNS, SSL, CDN, and other core cyber services. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts. Project management skills, with experience in planning, scheduling, and monitoring the delivery of cybersecurity services.
