He found them to be more of architects than engineers. Job Description: We are currently seeking an experienced senior level IT Infrastructure and Operations engineer for the Global Hosting team. This person will work to effectively deliver our critical services. This position will include projects related to cloud migrations, cloud standardization, and resolving complex tasks that span IT towers. In addition, this role will require you to partner and collaborate with other teams in support of existing products/solutions and new ventures. Key Responsibilities - Identify and resolve complex technical issues. - Review, design and build advanced cloud-based solutions and automation. Plan and execute changes to existing workloads/integrations in the cloud. - Analyze requirements, develop architecture/design artifacts, articulate approach, and implement changes for cloud-based projects and standards implementation. - Develop scripting and templates for automation of manual tasks. - Review existing cloud environments and lead technical deep dives into the infrastructure identifying opportunities for enhancement and automation. - Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in development, test, stage, and production environments. - Define and implement cloud standards, guidelines, workflows, and best practices to ensure consistency across the organization. Lead architectural reviews in the cloud domain. - Contribute to the development and maintenance of processes, procedures and solutions around operational administration, backup, disaster recovery, security, and monitoring. - Lead review and implement of new cloud technologies and automation. - Lead special projects ensuring they are completed on time and are implemented following all operational standards. - Collaboration and engage with business unit teams and internal stakeholders to drive opportunities and resolve challenges. - Facilitate interaction between IT towers to ensure timely delivery and support. - Meet with stakeholders to understand challenges. Document problems, requirements, and drive resolution to targeted delivery dates. Qualifications - Bachelors Degree or equivalent relevant experience. - 8+ years in cloud-based IT Infrastructure & Operations role with strong experience in Azure\\AWS architecture and operations. - Advanced cloud certifications Minimum Azure AZ-305 certification in addition to other advanced certifications. Minimum AWS SAP-C02 certification in addition to other advanced certifications. - Automation experience Demonstrated experience with Terraform, Ansible or similar technologies. Desired: Certifications in Terraform and Ansible - Proven experience managing diverse IaaS and PaaS workloads across multiple cloud providers. - Experience using Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar platforms. - Ability to take on complex projects or issues that span multiple IT/business towers and drive to resolution. - Ability to create meaningful reports and communication to diverse groups of stakeholders. - Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced, team environment and drive projects forward with limited oversight. - Effective interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to maintain positive working relationships.
