Job Title: Financial Business Analyst (CLO, Bank Loans, Structured Credit) Location: New York, NY (On-Site) Type: Contract Department: Technology & Business Solutions Job Overview: We are seeking an adaptable and detail-oriented Business Analyst to spearhead various initiatives within the financial services sector, encompassing a range of strategic and operational projects. This role is ideal for someone with a profound understanding of financial concepts and strategies, such as Bank Loans, CLOs, High Yield, Structured Credit, Opportunistic Credit and Direct Lending , alongside technical prowess in SQL Server, data validation, and application testing. While project management is part of the job, it's considered a flexible responsibility, allowing for a broader focus on technical and analytical tasks. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Business Analysis: Deep dive into financial operations to enhance strategies around Bank Loans, CLOs, High Yield, Structured Credit, Opportunistic Credit and Direct Lending strategies. SQL Server Expertise: Employ SQL Server for robust data management, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial data across various projects. Quality Assurance Leadership: Oversee quality assurance, focusing on data validation and application testing to maintain the highest standards of data and application quality. Project Coordination Flexibility: Assist in project coordination using Azure DevOps as needed, prioritizing analytical and technical contributions. Documentation : Keep comprehensive documentation of projects in Confluence, ensuring clarity and accessibility for all stakeholders. Effective Communication: Utilize outstanding leadership and communication skills to engage with business users, gathering essential requirements and providing project insights. Technology Team Guidance: Offer strategic guidance to technology development teams, ensuring alignment with financial goals and operational strategies. Advanced Excel Use & Testing: Create complex Excel mockups for prototyping and participate in application testing, verifying functionalities and feature sets. Required Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years' experience in a Business Analyst role within the financial services industry, with a proven track record of managing diverse projects. Expertise in SQL Server and data analysis tools. Strong background in quality assurance processes, including data validation and application testing. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Advanced proficiency in Excel for data analysis and mockup creation. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Azure DevOps and Confluence for project documentation and coordination. Ability to guide and collaborate with technology development teams effectively.
