Job Description : Role : Firewall Engineer (10+) Location : Atlanta, GA/Charlotte, NC (Only Locals) Duration : Contract CheckPoint - Firewall Engineer  - Essential Duties and Responsibilities Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time. Process firewall change requests in ServiceNow, converting business requirements into firewall policy. Implement firewall policy changes following enterprise change manage procedures during evening change windows. Deploy, support and maintain Site to Site VPNs Participate in the troubleshooting of possible firewall issues by reviewing logs and packet captures. Be able to distinguish between routing issues, application issues, and firewall issues. Participate is reviewing existing policy for security issues and optimization.
