Position: Quality Assurance Engineer Location: Hybrid At Austin, TX Duration 9+ months contract with extension Description We are seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer for a 6 Month hybrid contract with our Austin, Texas client performing highly advanced testing and analysis of production systems and applications. Responsible for the development, validation, execution and documentation of test plans and test scripts, including unit testing, comparison testing, regression testing, integration testing, and performance testing. Responsible for testing and automating testing of large amounts of data in SQL Server database. Works closely with Business Analysts, Production Control and Operations, and Development throughout the design and execution of test plans. Works under the general supervision of the Quality Assurance Manager of Information Systems with moderate latitude for use of initiative and independent judgment. Attend meetings and calls regularly and punctually. Requirements Education and Training : * Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university. Each year of related experience over the required may be substituted for one year (30 semester hours) of required college credit. * 7 years' experience in progressively demanding quality assurance processes and techniques over the full software lifecycle: implementing, upgrading and maintaining. * 4 years' experience in using SQL to create queries. * 4 years' expert level experience in testing and automating testing of large amounts (millions of records) of data in SQL Server database * Proficient in the use of VB Script and/or other languages used in automated testing * Experience with Microsoft Office products. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities * Experience in testing PeopleSoft Pension, Benefits Administration and Financials. * Experience in testing SharePoint /K2 * Experience in testing .NET * Extensive knowledge of the quality assurance process and techniques over the full software lifecycle. * Must be proficient in the use of automated functionality testing tools. * Ability to perform testing in a large, highly integrated system. * Must possess sound analysis and documentation skills. * Must have excellent communication skills to work with all aspects of the IT organization as well as functional users and management.
