The Enterprise Architect and Data Architect will drill in and have the understanding of what questions to ask business users to get the topology of the current technology model, what business people are using it for and where is it falling short or where it is being used effectively.
They need to get a good perspective of the current state/how the businesses are using the systems and then understand how the growth of those platforms will affect users and how it will benefit users.
Ability to communicate and work with business users to understand how they use the systems.
