Role: Sr. Desktop Support Engineer Location: Buffalo, New York Duration: 30 Months Job ID: HBITS-05-13381 Client: NY State Description The ITS Specialist-Senior position will provide technical assistance and assessment of designated NYS OMH facilities via the NYS ITS Network Site Consultation process. This will include but not limited to circuit bandwidth, Voice Over IP (VoIP) phone system upgrades and wireless upgrades. The position will require travel to complete the physical site assessments. Duties Consultant will work on equipment installation, relocation and removal. The consultant will be working on VOIP phones, WAPS, and data communications equipment for supporting the NYS Office of Mental Health (OMH). Consultant will participate in the planning and execution of all phases of project including: request analysis, site surveys, site preparation, cable trouble-shooting and installation, asset management, inventory control, and network assistance Knowledge of network equipment is required. Mandatory Requirements Experience (9+ Years) Works in the field of Information Technology, experienced in the usage and support of a collection of development platforms, technical architectures or business applications and products that run on those platforms - beyond that of a Programmer.
