The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructures and services on Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Google Cloud Platform (GCP), with a focus on migrating services and applications between these cloud platforms. Below is the detailed job description, which we hope you will find helpful in identifying the right candidate for our team. CI/CD Implementation: Design, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to automate software deployment, testing, and monitoring. Ensure the timely and reliable delivery of software releases. Infrastructure Management: Manage and scale their infrastructure in a cloud-based environment (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) principles for provisioning and configuration. Perform L3 support activities to manage and maintain the production environment. Security and Compliance: Collaborate with the security team to implement best practices for securing cloud systems, network traffic, and data. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Build and maintain storage solutions for sensitive data (e.g. WGS sequencing). Monitoring and Performance: Establish and maintain monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify and address issues. Optimize system performance and resource utilization. Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for DevOps processes and procedures. Communication Act as a liaison bridging research and informatics teams with core IT.
